So much goes into growing, harvesting, transporting, selling, purchasing, cooking, and offering each little thing that we eat. So many people have a hand in preparing your food! Before eating something, this little poem, which is translated from the sanskrit mantra “Annadata sukhibhava”, can help us give thanks for all the work and care that went into our food. It can also help us offer that care back. May all beings be happy!
May those who prepare our food also be happy.
May we who eat this food be happy, too.
We wish peace and joy to all the Earth.
