Instructions

How to do a jumping jack

1. Stand up straight with your legs together and your arms at your sides.
2. Bend your knees a little, then jump into the air!
3. As you jump, spread your legs to be about shoulder-width apart. Bring your arms the side and up as you move, ending with a clap above your head.
4. Jump back to the position you started in.

How to play Jump It

For each word on your spelling list, do a jumping jack as you say the spelling word, then do a jumping jack as you say each letter of the word, one jump for each letter. Say the word again as you do a final jumping jack for that word.

Here is an Example:

• Jumping jack - dog
• Jumping jack - d
• Jumping jack - o
• Jumping jack - g
• Jumping jack - dog

Do this for each word on your spelling list! This is a great brain break, that still keeps you practicing. You can also apply this strategy for math facts -- or anything else you need to memorize.
